Estimates are to be prepared for customers and signed off on by the customer prior to any work commencing on the customer's vehicle. Repair estimate forms are available online and are to be filled out by the technician working on the vehicle.

In estimating repair costs to the customer, the following information must be included: analysis of the problem, suggested method of repair, estimated time of repair, estimated labour value, estimated replacement parts cost, estimated further charges (environmental fees etc).

Be ethical and accurate in all estimates.

Estimates are to be done within an hour of the customer bringing the vehicle in for an estimate.
